Philippines: Horrific violations of children's rights must stop
An Amnesty International report published today (11 April) exposes horrific abuses of children in the Filipino juvenile justice system, where at least eight young people, who were under age at the time of their alleged offence, are currently on death row.
Do you agree or disagree with what is going on under our own nosesStop child abuses? what were the crimes? like did the rape murder a child?? need more facts, sometime people in this country get away with murder but can be sued from the family in civil court and lose to the family like hum o j give more facts before judge others, or people will think us americans are in the worlds watchdogs when we cant watch our own back yards Stop child abuses? Alas, it's not under my nose.
Alas, it's not under my nose.
All children should be treated as such, the punishment is wrong. I really do not care what it is about there is another way to deal with kids, and it is in many other countries. And to tell the truth, the U.S. is not much better, they go to prison young and come out messed up --
it's nasty. why on earth would people even do something like that!!
there are a lot of things that happen that many of us either take for granted or do not get to know.
did you know that there are firecrackers you buy from bulacan which are made by children? this is a violation of the rights of children. child-work is allowed but not for long hours and not in hazardous environments as pyrotechnics factories.
however, sometimes, it should be the parents who should also be punished for irresponsibility. moreover, there are some news that are written to benefit some people, especially if you need aid.
in any case, the rights of the child should be respected.
