Maybe the question is WHY? I live near Tokyo. Do you want to party in Roppongi with a million other foreignors? Do you want to spend outrageous money on a hotel? Do you want to check out the state of the art electronics? Do you want to see temples and Japanese tradition?

It isn't all in Tokyo. You could go to Kyoto and see beautiful temples then jump over to Osaka and see the electronics and even go to Universal Studios.

If you have a lot of money and want to get a cool experience, go for it. If you want to stay for an extended holiday, you can easily get a job teaching English. About a billion foreignors do this all the time! Get paid and see Japan.
