I'll be there on business - will be busy during weekdays, but free over a weekend and at night. Restaurant suggestions? Shopping suggestions (clothing/jewelry)? Anything cool to see or just can't be missed?

Try the tasting menu at Saint Julien Boat House next to Fullerton Hotel Good food great view. Or try Samy Curry at Demmpsey Road. Or Crystal Jade Restautant at Paragon. Must go Botanic Garden to enjoy the beautiful orchid garden. It is so under rated as a place of attraction

eat sleep and buy video games
Night safari at the zoo is quite nice
I would go to the hawkers' centers for the best food and enjoy the atmosphere with mixing with the locals.
The center has so much to offer!
Best place to find goodies : People's Park !
It is an incredibly safe country to live in.so don't be worried.
